Flying Spider

Idk how it would work out...

But I think the horror of the flying spider can make a logo that would amply fufill a simple and iconic symbol.

To divulge, the flying spider would be the very same that migrates from south america to the north only to die. The very same that is the size of most average sized dogs, kills many domestic humans, and scares the shit out of stacy... cause it was invented only to freak her out.

Cave 76 starter ideas

These are just a few response things i drew to sam... umm... good and bad... i like the actual cave images i found, maybe if we spice them enough, then they are fly, but i like the logo for those particular images. LXXVI = 76 in romans.

I was thinking a good troll, dragon, something along those lines would maybe also be good...

I would also like to add that I really like some of the AT logo's that I came up with on this page. If you use the outline for an actual leaf for the foliage, makes drawing easier, and can be made in only a few lines.
Actually that's just something I'd like to talk about. I think our logo should be something that can be drawn in as few lines as possible and should look good when only using one color print. I don't want to have to depend on a photoshop tool to make our design recognizable, or an integral part. I would rather use photoshop as enhancement for whatever awesome we decide on. Currently, people should try to come up with designs relative to "Cave 76". We're giving it a shot, but I would still encourage continuing old ideas for logos as well just to keep creativity up.

Also, I'll email you later too nick, but go ahead into my tshirt album, and choose whichever squid shirt pic works best for you. I've gone over the main lines with a fine tip pen, not exactly a sharpie, but I don't believe that Thick lines are needed in this picture. At least not yet. I don't have the ability yet to put them on in a way that would not destroy the picture. So try to have those back in a timely manner along with shane's cleaned up birds.

Asteroid Meteor Celestial Body

This is kind of the idea i wanted to go for...

imagine more asteroids, moving all the time, instead of leaves of a typical tree...

and i did it in the style for the heck of it...

Conglomerates

i think that there are many awesome people or things that need to be assembled to a shirt so that they are not forgotten as separate things...

for example ancient heros. there are Siegfried, beowulf, gilgamesh, odyseus, achilles, etc.

then there are groups of people that are just BA... not that i want to say it wouldn't be original, but any given list from cracked is legit. BA authors, presidents, etc.

I am all about lists. lists of top movies, poems, songs, anything.

what if we took a given song/song title, and gave the image it deserves?

probably a bit more difficult, but... i love that kinda stuff...

Once again, I want to copy paste all of the ideas we have down, and put them to one solid, organized list. gimme a week, hopefully i will have something done.

Birds

I drew these birds, originally thinking that they could be part of our logo, then the more i drew on them, the more i figured they would make better shirts than not.

I am working on an image for "Asteroid Tree" different from sam's.

I did a few pics as I was going through things so that people can decide when I should have stopped or what I could have added. At the bottom of the album is my current contributions to "Squid Design" and AT logos.
From what I think we got out of the meeting is the following break up of tasks. Please edit this if I'm wrong.

Shane: Continue to work on logo, and if time, update/organize shirt idea list.
Nick: "I see what you did there" and "STRONG Adventure" shirt designs drawn.
Tracy: Artsy/abstract design and Bus error shirt design drawn.
Sam: "Squid/clouds" shirt design drawn.
AJ: Also work on shirt logo ideas, and other shirt ideas. Maybe even some sketches to go with them.

All of us should keep an eye out for cheaper or better websites for us to work on.

Meeting topics

Alright, I would really like to try and get a meeting with everyone to figure out a few ideas. I'll post them below so that we can start forming idea about them and we won't just say stupid thing.
Are in order of import:
-Name/logo
-which prints we are going to be using (Top ten)
-amount of colors in those prints
-outsource, or do things ourselves.(profit)
-how many do we buy at first? Will be around 500-600 for 50 shirts
-how do we go about distributing?
-do we do custom orders?

Quality

To be noted, I talked with nick and here are some guidelines as to how much done your picture needs to be before going to him.

-good contrast of lines, color CAN be added if he can nicely section things off
-Nick is not a magic box. Sketches are good for ideas, but need to more or less be in their final form before going to him. He can push lines, but not re-draw a crayon sketch into a tasteful form of wit.
-Probably should be done on plain printer paper, or nice sketch book paper, scanned or digital picture and then send to him.

I'd like for us to get a few lessons from nick on how to use some photo upgrading sites over winter so that we can do some of the work ourselves or just get an idea as to what we can and cannot do.

If you have a new shirt idea, just make a new post or whatever is easiest to display the idea. I just want to have organized labels. I think this will be easier, and will get shirts up faster.

Priorities

Just to kind of reach out again, I think we need to come to a consensus as to what this company is actually going to be. Right now we are doing tshirts, but it has been suggested that we do more than just that. I think that is an awesome idea, but we need to make sure not to get ahead of ourselves. Also, please join me in trying to get a hold of aj. I don't want him to stay out of the loop about what is going on and have to choose a company name/logo without his input and just make him slave at making shirts with us. So start heckling him with me.

GOALS:

Continuing to say the same thing, everyone should try to comment on this post just what exactly they want this business to be/represent. Are we smooth, are we snarky, are we sly, are we boisterous, are we in someone's face, are we subtle, are we classy, or what? What kind of look do we want?

Currently, I feel we have three genre's of shirts: Geek/nerd(games, sci-fi movies, science), internet, and stylistic abstract. When we get a name and logo I'd like to add shirts that just have our cool logo on it maybe smartly designed or surrounded by cool things.

Post pics or scans of logo ideas and names. Something that will be addressed at meeting.

Finally, email me, or talk about when we can have a skype meeting. I'd like to have everyone together and talk about things. Shane, you should get skype if you dont already have it. You and I will probably just gtalk when we can, but nick does not have that, and needs to use skype.

TIMELINES: I think it is possible for us to conclude brand name/logo, and finish touches on two or three shirts. What I mean is that they have been well drawn, we all agree that they are cool, or at least will sell, and then photoshoop it to pleasing. These designs should be able to put on shirts if we go online outsourcing, or easily shifted to us doing them by hand and looking good over winter break.
So we should be ready to move into working mode by Dec 15th. I would really like to be selling shirts online to kids back at kohler during xmas. Take their money while sympathies are still there and they fear/respect us.

At Last It Is Here

Alright guys, this is going to be our new base of operation from now on. Apologies for the name and url, but those can be changed later. We just needed this now.
Rules for the site. Doesn't really need to be said, but just to say it anyway.

-Label stuff respective to what it is (idea, sketches, update, etc). Also label your posts if it doesn't already.

-Check regularly so that you're not out of the loop and we can function better as a team.

-Don't be a jerk. Mainly for nick, don't edit other peoples stuff. We're all bros here. If you want to say stuff, just comment on the post or parentheses yourself.

-Post stuff. We need material

-From now on our time schedule will try to be here so that we know what to be working toward, and what needs to be finished first.

First task:

-Get name and logo. We can come back to shirt designs after we have a name for ourselves. It should be, obviously, aesthetic, and something that embodies what we plan to do here, and our style/themes. I figure if we can come up with just one of these we can pretty quickly get the other.
